Updated web interface may have caused Instagram accounts to be suspended for no reason last night

Last night around 9 p.m. instagram users experienced an actual Halloween episode where they were unable to access their accounts. Not only that, but it also affected a drop in followers (especially for hearsay influencers) as their accounts got suspended accidentally.

At the time of publishing this news, Instagram has already fixed the bug which is causing short-term panic for many Instagram users. From his tweet, Instagram Comms apologized and said “this caused problems accessing their accounts in different parts of the world and caused a temporary change for some of the number of subscribers,“.

Nobody really knows (except Instagram) what really happened, but sources say it coincidentally happened around the same time as the app’s updated web interface. Sources say the menu links for Start, Search, Explore, Messages, Notifications, Create, and Profile are now on the left side instead of at the top. It is true that the web version of Instagram now has a slight new look.

From time to time, WhatsApp and Instagram tend to have issues. It was only last week that WhatsApp users experienced a global outage for no reason. Stay tuned for more tech news at TechNave.com.
